A Girl's Life by: Lilly Cowan
Hi my name is Elizabeth. I am a twelve year old girl living in New Hampshire. Since I am 12, I am expected to work. My younger sister, Julie, doesn’t have to work since she isn't 11 yet. My life includes education, music, dance, play, and my chores. My chores include sweeping, feeding the chickens, milking cows, watering horses, running errands, picking berries, gathering peas, onions, spices, turnips, carrots, and vegetables from the garden. I also help cook the meals. My mom, my aunts, my gram-ma, and I make soap and candles. We also shear the wool off sheep. It is quite fun. My grandmother taught me how to sew, I like to do that in my free-time.
